Cookie Policy
This is a deliberately short policy, because this is a deliberately simple website. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not sell audience data, and for ordinary browsing this site sets no cookies on your device at all.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, so it can recognise your browser on a later page or a later visit. Similar results can be achieved with local storage and with the logs every web server keeps.
What this site actually does
Browsing these pages as a visitor sets no cookies. There is no advertising pixel, no social media tracker, and no cross-site profiling on this website.
Cookies appear only in these narrow cases:
- Sending an enquiry. Our form software may set a short-lived cookie to guard against spam and duplicate submissions.
- Staff signing in. WordPress sets session cookies for people who log in to administer the site. These never apply to visitors.
- Page caching. Our caching layer may set a technical cookie to serve the correct version of a page.
Fonts loaded from Google
Our typefaces are served from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore requests those font files from Google, and Google receives your IP address and browser details as part of that request. Google does not set a cookie for this, but it is a third-party connection and we would rather say so plainly than leave it out.
Analytics
If website analytics are enabled, they are used only to understand which pages people find useful, in aggregate. Analytics cookies of that kind record a randomly generated identifier for the browser, not your name, and are never combined with anything you tell us in an enquiry or during treatment.
Controlling cookies
Every major browser lets you view stored cookies, delete them, and refuse new ones, usually under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking cookies on this site will not stop you reading it. It may stop the enquiry form from submitting, since the anti-spam check depends on one.
