Privacy Policy
Divine Hospital & Holistic Health Village is a residential Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Physiotherapy and Yoga facility in Haridwar. Because we treat people, some of what you share with us is health information, which we treat as confidential clinical material rather than ordinary marketing data. This policy explains what we collect, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Divine Hospital & Holistic Health Village (operating the consumer brand Divine Holistic Health Retreat), Shyampur Nauabad, Haridwar 249408, Uttarakhand, India. We are the data fiduciary for the information described here.
What we collect
- Enquiry details — the name, email address, telephone number and message you submit through our enquiry form, or send us directly by email or phone.
- Booking and identity details — the information needed to reserve a room and register you as a resident guest. For guests who are not Indian nationals this includes passport and visa details, which Indian law requires accommodation providers to record and report.
- Health information — medical history, current conditions, medication, allergies, pulse and Prakruti findings, and the treatment notes our physicians make during your stay.
- Payment information — the record of what you paid and when. Card and bank credentials are handled by our payment gateway and bank; we do not receive or store your full card number.
- Technical information — basic server logs. See our Cookie Policy for what the website itself stores.
Why we hold it
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a proposal for your stay.
- To assess whether a therapy is suitable for you, and to prescribe and deliver treatment safely. This is the main reason we ask for health information.
- To take payment and issue receipts.
- To meet legal obligations, including guest registration requirements for foreign nationals and the retention of clinical records.
Health information
Health information is sensitive. It is seen by the treating physician and the therapists delivering your prescribed treatment, and by the administrative staff who need it to schedule your care. It is not used for marketing, and it is not shared with anyone outside the facility without your consent, unless we are required to disclose it by law or it is necessary in a medical emergency.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share only what is necessary with:
- the clinicians and therapists involved in your care;
- our payment gateway and bank, to process a payment you have authorised;
- our website hosting provider, which stores form submissions on our behalf;
- government authorities, where a law or a lawful order requires it.
Guests outside India
If you enquire or book from outside India, the information you send is stored and processed in India, where we operate. By contacting us you understand that your information will be handled under Indian law, and that the protections available in your own country may differ.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept only as long as they are useful for following up, and are then deleted. Booking, payment and clinical records are kept for the period required by Indian accounting and medical record-keeping obligations, and are then destroyed securely.
Your choices
You may ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete information we no longer need to keep, or stop contacting you. Withdrawing consent for us to hold your health information may mean we can no longer treat you safely, and we will tell you if that is the case. Write to hello@divinehealthvillage.com and we will respond.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting current guests will be communicated directly.
